Není sporu o tom, že debut skupiny Lootpack (Madlib, Wildchild a DJ Romes) z roku 1999 je těžká klasika. Zároveň bychom těžko hledali člověka, který by po poslechu „Soundpieces: Da Antidote!“ dal produkční stránce věci méně než 4/5. Při volbě samplů tu předvedl puntičkářský cit pan profesor Madlib. A vhledem k tomu, že desku podpořili i známé firmy jako Dilated Peoples, Medaphoar, Oh No, Defari, the Liks nebo Declaim aka Dudley Perkins, stala se vyhledávaným nosičem sběratelů klasických počinů žánru.
